Barnes Aerospace, East Granby MRO Division has an exciting career opportunity for an Operations & Continuous Improvement Intern to play an integral role in manufacturing operations. The right candidate should be a self-driven and enthusiastic student with junior or senior level status. Core Responsibilities:

Work directly with Operations and Continuous Improvement organizations on various assignments

Collect, validate, and organize data

Help identify deficiencies in day-to-day operations

Perform all tasks in accordance with company HSE policies

Complete internship project and present findings

Assist with implementation of KanBan for Shop Consumables

Perform other duties as assigned

Implement/support the site 6S initiative

Expedite material through production processes at the direction of operations management

Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Ability to schedule and organize time and tasks effectively

Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment

Previous experience working with power/hand tools and measurement devices a plus

Experience with MS Office preferred

Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED required

Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as a rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree
