Position Summary:
Join the Rivers Casino Pittsburgh team as a Building Maintenance Technician, where you will play a key role in maintaining the functionality and appearance of our property. In this role, you will perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
Repair and maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, and kitchen equipment
Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings
Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment
Respond to routine maintenance calls, prioritizing guest service needs
Handle general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, drywall repair, and carpentry
Assist with snow removal during the winter months
Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
The ideal candidate will have:
2-3 years of experience in general maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
EPA certification or certificates in HVAC, plumbing, or facilities maintenance (preferred)
Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read an electrical meter and wiring diagrams
A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets insurance requirements
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent customer service skills
The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members and guests
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Certifications:
Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Non-Gaming License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license. Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting
Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
