Senior Financial Analyst, Stores Inventory Control

The Stores Inventory Control Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for complex accounting activities related to the management of inventory including store physical inventories, shrink accrual rates vs actualization, shrink credit rates, mark out of stock reserves and execution, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and much more.

Responsibilities

Lead, organize, and reconcile over 2000 store physical inventories on an annual basis.

Analyze and present key metrics to leadership teams; MOS, shrink accrual rate, shrink credit rate, etc.

Provide monthly inventory expense projections, actuals, and flux explanations to leadership teams

Review and reconcile key inventory balance sheet accounts monthly.

Review and analyze current finance processes, identify areas of opportunity, and recommend solutions for achieving optimal efficiency and effectiveness in a controlled environment.

Create strong partnerships with cross-functional teams internally and externally and collaborate on ad hoc projects as needed.

Ensure inventory integrity and accuracy through partnership with Stores, Store Operations, Asset Protection, etc.

Partner with quality and store operations teams to identify quality issues from stores and account for correctly.

Ability to lead and support an accountant with daily activities, special projects and development and networking within the organization.

Maintain strong internal controls

Highly organized and attention to detail coupled with strong analytical skills

Effective communication and presentation skills.

Proven ability to multi-task and work independently; able to meet all deadlines and manage multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment

Strong knowledge and application of financial and accounting principles and fundamentals.

Conducts all work in an ethical, honest, professional, and confidential manner.

Continuous improvement / process improvement focused.

Possesses strong leadership characteristics to manage others

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA a plus

5-7 years Accounting and/or Finance experience; in retail a plus

SAP-enabled process experience/skills preferred

PC skill proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
