Position name: Job Developer/Work-Based Learning Specialist

Facility name: Tulsa Job Corps Center

Work schedule: Full-time, 7:45 am - 4:45 pm, Monday - Friday

Job responsibilities: The WBL Specialist is responsible for development of work-based learning, (on the job, paid or unpaid intern opportunities) and providing related support services, including student accountability and communicating with local employers. Will provide career readiness instruction classes to support student entry into the work environment including interviewing skills, resume building, job search, etc.

Essential functions:

Identify and market Job Corps program to local employers to identify work-based learning opportunities; explain the benefits of hiring Job Corps graduates for short term on-the-job training that could lead to permanent employment.

Provide administrative functions related to program participants, including site evaluations.

Develop and coordinate community service activities and projects that will bring the community to the center, such as open houses.

Provide students with basic daily direction, instruction, and assistance in career readiness training.

Complete all required documentation in center information center (CIS).

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 1 year related experience or Associate’s degree and 2 years related experience

Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.

A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
