Our client is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Key Accounts Manager based in either KwaZulu-Natal or Johannesburg. This is a critical role focused on managing key client relationships within the coal mining and trading space, as well as driving growth through strategic partnerships and deal execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow existing key accounts within the mining and coal trading sector.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with reputable coal buyers and suppliers.
Identify and engage with traceable coal traders and suppliers to secure consistent product availability.
Drive business development activities across the mining value chain, targeting new clients and partners.
Negotiate and close high-value trading deals with credible and verified entities.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain the highest standards of integrity in all transactions.
Provide market insights and trend analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with internal teams to align operational execution with client requirements.
Requirements:
Proven experience in the mining sector, specifically in coal trading.
A strong network of traceable and reputable coal suppliers and buyers.
Demonstrated success in a trading role, with verifiable references.
In-depth understanding of the coal value chain, logistics, and market dynamics.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Based in KZN or Johannesburg.
Available to start immediately.
