The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Family Medicine Physician to join our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Columbus, Nebraska, where you will provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care for all. Utilizing an integrated care approach, our providers work collaboratively to address all aspects of patients health and believe that exceptional, compassionate care should be accessible and affordable for all. Your Role:
Provide direct patient care to clinic patients examine, diagnose, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans
Maintain health records for all patients through the use of electronic health records
Provide continuity of care to patients, and serve in rotation for both after-hour care coverage and Quick Care coverage as appropriate
Participate in the review, development, and training of patient care policies, procedures, protocols, and standing orders
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes
Provide professional perspective and direction in the development of the community health care plan
What We Are Looking For:
Graduate of an accredited school of medicine with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Nebraska
Current DEA license required
Knowledge of public health principles and practices
Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
Ability to foster strong patient-provider relationships
Current certificate in BLS and ACLS
Administrative experience as a physician in implementing community health programs preferred
