Schedule:

Standard operating hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday-Friday. Specific work hours will be established through discussions with your supervisor.

Job Summary:

Supervision of scheduler and driver/PCAs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Provides general oversight of all transportation staff at assigned location and ensures compliance with all Policies & Procedures, and state and federal regulations.

Monitors driver’s attendance within the company’s electronic attendance tracking system, approves Paid Time Off requests with the Center Manager and ensures any necessary payroll information is submitted timely.

Point of contact for state and federal auditors for all transportation services.

Oversees general maintenance of vehicles and equipment at assigned location, which includes:

Preventative maintenance schedules

General vehicle maintenance

Hydraulic lift maintenance

Wheelchair tie-down equipment

Scheduling & Payment of services

Maintaining accurate maintenance records

Communicating acute maintenance issues to Director of Transportation

Assists Director of Transportation with coordination of vehicles that need to be moved between locations for maintenance issues.

Conducting incident and accident investigations and communicating results to the Director of Transportation.

Assisting Director of Transportation with scheduling & monitoring all safety certifications that assigned drivers are required to complete.

Oversees transportation reporting and Tripmaster account for assigned location, which includes:

Keeping an accurate record of current staff

Monitoring tablet performance in all vans

Running reports as requested

Providing general assistance to scheduler

Monitors and approves all fuel purchases for assigned location

Works Director of Transportation to maintain reporting used for center performance and projections.

Responsible for appropriate company credit card usage for general transportation needs and services, per LIFE-NWPA policy.

Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team.

Conducts initial and periodic assessments, as needed.

Participates in developing the IDT Plan of Care as needed.

Completes all documentation related to participant care as needed.

Completes all other job duties related to the care and well-being of Participants.

Participate in and support Quality Improvement initiatives.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree

One year working with the frail/elderly population

5+ years' experience in:

o Supervision, scheduling, logistics, Tripmaster, GPS software, Pacelogic, and Prime Suite

Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced)

CPR and first aid certification

Requirements:

Requires valid State driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening

Physical Requirements:

Works in well-lighted/ventilated office and therapy areas.

Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.

Is subject to frequent interruptions.

Must be able to assist with the evacuation of Participants.

Employment Requirements: Successful completion of Pennsylvania Criminal History Check, PA DHS Child Abuse Clearance, Office of Inspector General check, and FBI Fingerprinting for Child Protective Services Law (at employer’s expense). Successful completion of post-offer employment drug screening and physical (at employer’s expense). CPR and First Aid Certification, or willing to obtain at employer’s expense. Individuals must have one year of prior experience caring for the frail elderly or willing to complete Company paid training to meet this requirement.

This position has full access to Participant, program, and staff records and reports, requiring discretion to protect individuals and the program.
