Part-Time Grounds Technician

Primary Purpose: The Part-Time Grounds Technician is primarily responsible for assisting with maintaining the excellent appearance of the grounds on the Greenwood Campus.

Essential Functions:

Maintains the campus grounds and makes any necessary corrections to keep it neat, attractive and presentable

Assists with lawn care duties including, but not limited to grass cutting, trimming shrubs, pruning trees, clearing the cemetery, and managing the area round the pond

Ensures lawn care equipment is in good work condition and communicates to maintenance on needed repairs

Helps with emergencies and additional activities across campus

Ensure the completion of task that students do not have time to finish

Support Connie Maxwell goals

Works toward achieving yearly "Gold Star" list

Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Basic knowledge in basic mechanics, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and grounds keeping

Skills in the safe use of tools and equipment to carry out duties

Valid driver's license and insurability is required

Strong communication skills

Work Conditions:

Involves walking and standing for extended periods of time

Involves strenuous physical labor for long hours, in extreme heat and cold temperatures

Ability to work indoors and outdoors

Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds on a continual basis

Ability to work flexible hours including weekends based on ministry needs

Ability to work under stress during peak workload periods

Part-time
