The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc., a respected Civil Engineering and Environmental Consulting Company, with offices located in Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia and Alabama, has an immediate opening for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer/Construction Manager with five plus years’ experience in our North Canton, OH office. Candidate must have experience in geotechnical investigations and design and report preparation along with the following:
Key Responsibilities
Managing field inspection personnel and directing construction quality assurance certification activities, primarily soils and concrete construction
Review of quality control documents and construction plans
Preparation of construction drawings and specifications
Significant construction management interaction
Direct communication with clients, regulators and contractors
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Candidate must be a team player who works well with other Geotechnical Engineers, material testing, laboratory and drilling technicians, and will work from our North Canton office, with limited field duties.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required. A Master’s degree and/or registration as a Professional Engineer is a plus.
