Overview
We are looking to bring on board a driven Training and Development intern to assist our training department with administrative and training-related tasks. They will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in various ways and learn how continuous training and development plays a big role in a growing organization.
This is a full-time (Monday - Friday) On-Site position for Surge Staffing's HQ office located in Columbus, Ohio.
Responsibilities
Partner with the mentor in the training department and give support in their specific duties.
Collaborate with the manager to establish then implement and track pre and post training procedures/tools
Match the e-learning products and training schedules to the classroom learning schedules for job specific learning tracks
Communicate with all participants and managers the pre-training event and make sure all pre-work or pre-study for the training class is accomplished.
Compile regular reports on training and ensure all training records are accurate, complete and up-to-date for corporate learning files.
Ensure that the training is received in a timely manner according to the policies and procedures established by the Training Department.
Taking on additional tasks or projects as needed
Qualifications
At least a Junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong facilitative, group process and presentation skills.
Ability to work both independently and as a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
