Job Description

Description:

HLG is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people who have been injured or disabled. What we do every day, with each individual client, positively impacts them as they face some of their most difficult times. Making a difference is what drives every member of this team, and it makes us one of the preeminent firms in our industry.

We are a committed and cohesive group of professionals. We are growing fast and looking for people who aren’t afraid of a challenge nor of going the extra mile – because our clients deserve it. If you’re looking for more than a daily grind where what you do matters, we’re looking for you.

Currently, we are looking to add a Case Manager to our Social Security Disability team. We have amazing training and support, so while legal experience is preferred, it is not required.

Here are some of the key responsibilities:

Be the voice and face of the firm, interacting with our clients and other parties daily.

Serve as the client's primary point of telephone, email, and text contact.

Make status calls to the client and ensure the timely and appropriate progression of each client’s case.

Request and review any pertinent paperwork, including employment records, worker's compensation documentation, short and/or long-term disability paperwork, VA disability decisions, pension paperwork, and/or educational records – making sure we have the total and clear picture so we can help our clients and support their case.

Send general correspondence and ensure that all mail is properly reviewed, responded to, or brought to the attention of the Attorney in an efficient and timely manner.

Work with Attorney by preparing the client's case file for hearing by requesting, organizing, and submitting all relevant evidence in a timely fashion. As well as collecting appropriate evidence, filing hearing-related paperwork, and filing any relevant appeals, as necessary.

Manage and use Case Management Software and our proven processes – driving efficiencies, ensuring accuracy and clarity, and keeping the wheels moving.Requirements:
