OVERVIEW
The Assistant Territory Manager will assist in the promotion and sale of the Ductmate SBU product lines within the respective territories, including existing and alternate channels of distribution, for all products. They will partner with Territory Managers to cover any areas of their markets that may need extra attention as well as participate with regional trade shows or industry events that need coverage. The Assistant Territory Manager will play a key role in the development and implementation of market strategies to increase sales of the products within the market by working directly with contractors, engineers and distributors in the regions with the objective of gaining new business and achieving sales goals.
Market: East Coast and Midwest - Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, North & South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri. Can be based anywhere in region but must be within 90 minutes of large airport.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the development of regional marketing plans for the products and execute the strategic and tactical actions necessary to implement the plan.
Effectively communicate the value proposition to the distributor partners, contractor, etc to differentiate Ductmate from its competition.
Develop new customer accounts with exceptional customer service.
Handle customer questions, complaints and concerns.
Develop relationships with market channel personnel within the region.
Work with mechanical engineers in the region to have product lines specified on projects.
Train contractors and distributors on the appropriate installations of the product line and review on-site installations to ensure proper performance.
EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Sales or related field
1-3 years' experience in B2B HVAC or construction outside sales preferred
The ability to travel approximately 50% of time to customers/industry events by car or air.
Effective oral and written communication ability.
Strong understanding of sales processes and marketing.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Power Bi and/or CRM experience a plus.
Must possess an outgoing personality with a positive outlook and professional appearance.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
Remote nature of position requires self-motivation and focus with minimal supervision.
