We are seeking an Associate Director to join the UGM Regulatory, Risk & Product Management team, where you will play a key role in managing strategic regulations impacting the UGM business and mitigating operational risks. In this role, you will be able to apply your problem-solving skills to implement regulatory requirements, manage risks, streamline processes, and contribute to driving the overall efficiency of the business. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
• help to monitor and to implement new regulatory initiatives within UGM Americas
• identifying and implementing areas for development within UGM Americas as they relate to regulatory implementation and/or business risk
• act as an SME on the regulatory and operational risk framework for the UGM Americas business and other relevant key stakeholders
• monitor and challenge the front to back control environment, making recommendations on controls design and operating effectiveness.
• Identify and investigate operational risk events and track actions to resolution.
• support Operational Risk initiatives across UGM Americas and provide input for the ongoing development of them.
• provide support to Distribution COOs on various control improvement and remediation initiatives.
Detailed salary information:
• New York: the salary range for this role is $122500 to $147500
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. The Regulatory, Risk & Product management team plays a pivotal role for the UGM organization globally. We are responsible for the monitoring, the formulation, implementation, and support of initiatives and processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness of our Unified Global Markets organization related . Our diverse team supports sales and trading teams, with a focus on regulatory, risk and product management tasks, ensuring a seamless integration of required and strategic tasks with operational excellence. As part of our mission, we collaborate closely with business leadership, sales and trading teams, and control/support functions. The role offers a broad exposure to the Unified Global Markets business.
Your expertise
• ideally 3-5 yrs or more experience with experience on regulatory implementation, risk, and controls
• knowledge of financial products including fixed income, equity and structured derivatives products
• excellent analytical skills; proficiency in excel, power point. Knowledge of Alteryx and/or PowerBI is an advantage
• strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and drive change
• excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• positive attitude with 'can-do' approach
• strong focus, drive and commitment to drive success of the team/firm
• ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
