Field Service Technician - Integrated Security & Low-Voltage

The Systems Integrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of integrated security and access control solutions. This role requires expertise in networking, programming, and configuring low-voltage security systems, ensuring seamless integration across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and deploy integrated security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance (CCTV), and fire alarms

Program and integrate security devices with IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation

Work with cloud-based and on-premise security solutions, including system administration and troubleshooting

Conduct system testing, commissioning, and training for end-users

Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and IT teams to ensure successful installations

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues

Provide technical documentation and customer training as needed

Ensure compliance with industry standards (NFPA, NEC, UL, and state/local codes)

Requirements

Experience in security system integration (3+ years preferred)

Strong knowledge of access control [Installation and programming], CCTV / Surveillance [COAX / IP], Intrusion Alarm, Network [TELECOM / DATA], and fire alarm systems

Experience with platforms such as Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, AMAG, Brivo, Honeywell, etc.

Networking & IT skills (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, PoE, server configurations)

Programming and scripting experience (preferred but not required)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system diagrams

Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check

Able to travel throughout the state and out of state

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
