REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED. ON THE JOB TRAINING IS AVAILABLE!
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a dependable, self-starter with high attention to detail, have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn; problem solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment; ability to follow instructions & work independently or as a member of a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and operate various pieces of forming equipment, which will produce parts for assembly
Configure bend allowances for sheet metal
Evaluate, determine root causes, and take corrective action to ensure product quality
Locate material and verify grade, size, and quantity by visual inspection and measurement techniques
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Actively support continuous improvement processes and initiatives
Utilize various types of measuring devices to produce products and components
Utilize current standards to ensure customer satisfaction of product output
Adhere to all safety and quality procedures
An employee in this position must follow safe work practices & safety rules at all times. Monitors own work to ensure quality. Must be able to multi-task & plan daily work efficiently; set up and parts and bending metal or materials. Must be able to set specifications; prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with proper compounds and wire brushes to remove impurities, measuring equipment with accuracy to meet customer requirements; recording measurements, keeping a safe and clean workspace. Maintaining product output while maintaining quality requirements.
