Job Description
The Program Supervisor is responsible for conducting weekly staff meetings to problem solve/evaluate individual progress, as well as ensuring the incorporation of clinical staff, to promote optimal success for each individual;
The Program Supervisor will provide guidance and supervision for all staff as well as vital individualized and or group supervisory meetings on a regular basis;
The Program Supervisor will maintain an active role in hiring staff, training staff, disciplinary actions, merit increases, evaluations, and termination procedures;
The Program Supervisor will oversee and monitor management of aggressive behavior practices and protocol;
The Program Supervisor is responsible for records management.
The Program Supervisor is required to be the community liaison;
The Service/Program Supervisor will respond by phone or in person for any emergency/ crisis situation within the group home.
The Program Supervisor is responsible for being proactive and conducting immediate follow-through to problem solving events that transpire within the program
The Program Supervisor is responsible for routinely observing the work of other direct support professionals on duty, and at their level, may make immediate corrections in staff performance and relay concerns to management as needed.
The Program Supervisor must maintain confidentiality at all times as related to individual services and A & J’s employees.
The Program Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the program training for new employees or volunteers at assigned locations.
The Program Supervisor is responsible for the weekly review of standard documentation including support notes, data sheets, medication administration records, menus, safety reports and community activity logs, constantly assessing for accuracy and quality of services provided.
When there are deficits noted in the documentation the Program Supervisor may address the issue with the staff person responsible to regain compliance.
REQUIREMENTS:
● A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in the field of institutional management, social work, education, or other human services disciplines is required.
● A minimum of 1.5 years working with individuals diagnosed as intellectually disabled/ mental illness;
● Qualified Developmental Disability Professional.
● Prefer a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a social service field (MSW, MA);
● Candidate must have two years supervisory experience with at least one year of experience in a group home environment.
