Injection Mold Manager

Overview:
Aegis Worldwide is currently partnered with a Tier 1 Supplier to SIA where they supply the interior and exterior trim parts of the Subaru vehicles including the door panels located in the Lafeyette, IN area. This maufactuerer is seeking someone who will be responsible for overseeing the injection molding department within an automotive manufacturing plant. This role involves managing production, ensuring quality standards, optimizing processes, and leading a team of technicians and operators.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience: bachelor’s degree in business or technology related field with 3-5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
Computer and Technology Skills: knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as: probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Health and Safety Conditions: Know all potential work and environmental hazards.
PPE Requirements: Safety glasses and any other required PPE in accordance with the SWI for the jobs you may be doing. Must be willing to attend training course to obtain OSHA 10-Hour General Industry safety certifications.
Responsibilites:
Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
Computes amounts of in-process stock and line supplies required for operations, based on production schedule, and requisitions material from storage area.
Interprets specifications and job orders to worker and assigns duties.
Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
Inspects parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to ensure products meet standards.
