Job Title: Office Assistant/Accounts Receivable

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Office Assistant/ Accounts Receivable Admin to manage and maintain the financial records of our growing business. In this role, you'll work closely with our accounting team to process daily financial transactions, including invoicing and managing accounts receivable. You will also ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. If you have experience in finance, are comfortable working with QuickBooks, and enjoy a collaborative work environment, we want to hear from you!

This is a part-time position with potential for additional hours (starting at 25 hours a week). Competitive pay based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records

Manage invoicing and accounts receivable

Handle customer inquiries via phone and email in a friendly, professional manner

Support the management team and owners with various administrative tasks

Help maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, receipts, and payments

After training, diagnose common garage door issues over the phone and create accurate service tickets

Process payroll and monthly retirement contributions

Assist in organizing office activities

Provide general office support and help maintain a positive, organized work environment

Contacting customers to collect outstanding balances.

Qualifications:

Prior experience with accounts receivable

Experience with QuickBooks and basic bookkeeping functions

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Friendly, positive attitude with excellent communication skills (phone and in-person)

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Gmail, and other computer tools

Some HR experience is a plus

Willingness to learn about our products and services

A proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration

Capable of identifying problems and proactively solving them as they come along.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or related field (preferred)

2+ years of bookkeeping experience

1+ year of QuickBooks experience
