Machine Operator/Pressman

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our team.

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay rate: $19/hr

Schedules:

1st shift: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

2nd shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

3rd shift: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Must be able to work all 3 shifts

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.

Operate machinery efficiently to produce high-quality goods while meeting production deadlines.

Assist in machine setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Clear machine stops safely and restart equipment as needed.

Report any safety concerns, accidents, or injuries to a supervisor immediately.

Review production schedules and prepare raw materials, including packaging materials, roll labels, and pallets.

Ensure all plates are properly cleaned, dried, and stored after order completion.

Set up and operate the Broadcast print and flexographic press according to specifications.

Perform routine quality checks to maintain product standards throughout production.

Maintain accurate records of production data and document any deviations.

Ensure proper storage and labeling of unused packing materials to keep work areas clean.

Track and report scrap materials to the Production Supervisor.

Assist in training new team members to ensure an efficient, cross-trained workforce.

Support maintenance activities to minimize downtime.

Follow and contribute to the company’s 5S standards for workplace organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in machine operation or a related manufacturing role preferred.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
