VocoVision is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our innovative virtual education team serving students in Columbus and surrounding areas. As a leader in remote special education services, we connect qualified educators with students who need specialized instruction in a flexible, technology-driven environment.

Position Overview

Our virtual Special Education Teachers typically work 35-37.5 hours per week providing specialized instruction and case management to students with diverse learning needs. This position focuses on delivering high-quality special education services in a dynamic online classroom setting.

Grade Level & Support Categories

Elementary through Middle School students (K-8)

Caseload includes students with:

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Intellectual Disabilities

Multiple Disabilities

Other Health Impairments

Caseload size ranges from 40-60 students depending on complexity Primary Responsibilities

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs

Create engaging virtual lesson plans aligned with IEP goals and state standards

Conduct regular progress monitoring to track student achievement

Facilitate online group and individual instruction via video conferencing

Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and related service providers

Manage required special education documentation and compliance

Participate in virtual IEP meetings and parent conferences

Implement behavior intervention strategies in the virtual environmentRequired Qualifications

Master's degree in Special Education or related field

Active Ohio Special Education teaching license

Minimum of 2 years experience in a school setting

Proficiency with educational technology and virtual instruction tools

Strong understanding of special education regulations and IEP process

Excellent communication skills and ability to engage students virtually

Experience with diverse learning needs and differentiated instruction

Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspaceTechnical Requirements
