Revenue Cycle Manager
Location: Onsite – Covington, Kentucky
Reports to: Vice President, Revenue Operations & Market Access

The Revenue Cycle Manager is a key leader reporting to the Vice President of Revenue Operations & Market Access. Their mission is to maximize reimbursement for laboratory services rendered while maintaining the highest level of ethics, compliance and customer service. This subject matter expert and natural leader will need to be highly adaptable and responsible for overseeing their Gravity Diagnostics’ Revenue Cycle Management team and operational functions. This management position focuses on the front-end of the revenue cycle—specializing in patient account management: registration, insurance verification, coordination of benefits, patient billing and customer service.
The Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for the following:
Maintain the highest levels of compliance, ethics, and customer service and ensure all functions and activities meet the most stringent regulatory requirements.
Responsible for building a culture of collaboration and care for patients, providers, payors, & all Gravity employees.
Develop, implement and maintain best practices & SOPs for revenue cycle operations by coaching, developing and managing a team of revenue cycle professionals.
Establish key performance indicators for their team and functions that drive continuous improvement and development.
Identify, prioritize, manage, monitor and measure success of revenue cycle projects.
Leverage key cross functional relationships, process and workflows that can assist with the success of the revenue cycle operation, especially ensuring the revenue cycle team receives complete and accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
Oversee all front-end revenue cycle teams and functions with the goal to maximize successful first attempt claims submissions to payors by resolving clearinghouse denial claim edits, missing demographic or insurance eligibility information, etc.
Identify and resolve problems impacting successful reimbursement.
Empower and coach team members to analyze claims issues and, establish compliant strategies/ techniques to work directly with cross-functional partners and payors to resolve acute and chronic claims related issues.
Responsible for managing and continuously improving patient billing accounting and collections activities including strategic direction, compliance oversight and vendor management.
Manage inbound and outbound patient and payor customer service call center.
Always ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Deliver reports and/ or design reporting dashboards for department leadership and executive team members as necessary.
Drive strategic direction and continuous improvement across direct areas of accountability and the company as appropriate.
Education, Experience, Job Requirements and Certifications
A Bachelor’s degree is required. Preferably in healthcare/ business administration, accounting, or healthcare related area of study.
Ability to be onsite 5-days per week (M-F) during onboarding period (6-months) and 4-days per week onsite thereafter.
Minimum of seven years of healthcare related work experience.
Minimum of three years of experience in supervisory/management role.
Proven track record of leading teams, building strong culture and morale and change management.
Minimum five years in healthcare revenue cycle experience. Preference will be given to candidates with clinical laboratory revenue cycle experience.
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead all types of professional relationships to meet business goals and objectives: direct reports, inter- and cross-departmental leaders and individual contributors, executive leaders, external vendors and payors.
Patient billing and customer service experience required. Preference given to experience running a healthcare billing call center.
CRCE, CRCR, CPC, and/or other related certifications preferred.
