Overview:
As the CNC Machinist you will support part setup in our Machining Department, including producing machined parts by programming and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.
Until further notice:
Pay range $35/hr - $45/hr based on experience
Additional 10% premium for 2nd Shift and additional 5% premium for 3rd Shift
Rogue Team Members eligible to receive Quarterly Bonus*
Responsibilities:
Setup and operate CNC machines in a safe manner to perform machine functions on metal work pieces
Take apart and reverse engineer parts
Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Stop machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences
Monitor machine operation and control panel displays, and compare readings to specifications in order to detect malfunctions
Clean machines, tooling, and parts, using solvents or solutions and rags
Qualifications:
5-10+ years CNC machining/programming experience
Fixture building experience is required
Must read G-code and have CNC programming experience
Must have a positive attitude and work well with others
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
Must be able to lift 80 pounds
Experience reading engineering drawings to quality check work is required
