SERVER – JOB DESCRIPTION

INTRODUCTION

Osha Thai Kitchen is excited to bring authentic Thai cuisine to Houston! We focus on traditional Thai street food, complemented by a unique cocktail program and a thoughtfully curated wine and beer selection. As we prepare for our grand opening, we are seeking enthusiastic servers and waitstaff who share our passion for exceptional dining experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

Provide outstanding service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Take and process orders accurately and efficiently, communicating with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery.

Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guests' questions confidently.

Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs promptly.

Maintain knowledge of any possible allergens, and maintain food safety standards.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy shifts.

Assist in setting up and clearing tables, ensuring a clean and inviting environment.

Handle payments and ensure accurate processing of transactions.

Participate in pre-shift meetings to stay informed about daily specials and service expectations.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling guidelines.

Actively promote menu items and upsell beverages to enhance guests' experiences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Passion for food and beverage service.

Positive attitude and a solution-oriented mindset.

Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence to connect with guests and team members.

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

REQUIRED TRAINING / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a server or waitstaff role preferred.

Knowledge of food and beverage service, with a willingness to learn more.

Must have Texas Food Handlers and TABC Certifications (or be willing to obtain).

Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle diverse guest needs.
