About the Opportunity:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a school-based position in Farmington, ME. This role involves working in a resource room setting with K-2 students who have behavioral and functional needs, but do not qualify for alternative programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for IEP development, case management, and working closely with teachers and support staff to provide targeted academic and behavioral interventions.Position Details:

Caseload: K-2 students with behavioral and functional disabilities
Classroom Type: Resource room
Location: Farmington, ME (onsite only)
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs)
Provide case management services for assigned students
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate subject matter and support student progress
Utilize behavioral and functional strategies to enhance learning and engagement
Maintain student progress reports and documentation Qualifications:
Valid and active Maine Special Education Teaching License
MUST have CHRC (criminal background check conducted by the Maine DOE)
Experience working with students with behavioral and functional needs preferred
Strong collaboration and communication skills
