Full-Time K-2 Resource Room Behavioral & Functional Needs

About the Opportunity:

ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a school-based position in Wilton, ME. This role involves working with K-2 students in a resource room setting who have behavioral and functional needs, but do not qualify for alternative programs. The ideal candidate will develop and implement IEPs, provide case management, and collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure student success.Position Details:

Employment Type: Full-time

Caseload: K-2 students with behavioral and functional disabilities

Classroom Type: Resource room

Location: Wilton, ME (onsite only)

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Provide case management services for assigned students

Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student growth

Use behavioral and functional strategies to engage students in learning

Maintain accurate student progress documentation Qualifications:

Valid and active Maine Special Education Teaching License

MUST have CHRC (criminal background check conducted by the Maine DOE)

Experience working with students with behavioral and functional needs preferred

Strong collaboration and communication skills
