Job Summary

As a Licensed Clinician, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with substance use and mental health challenges. Through assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions, you will guide clients toward sobriety, improved well-being, and successful reintegration into their communities.

Key Responsibilities Client Care and Counseling

Provide high-quality individual and group counseling services in compliance with agency policies and procedures.

Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients substance use history, mental health status, and overall needs.

Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clients goals and needs.

Continuously assess clients for risk of lethality and respond effectively to crises, including potential relapses or mental health emergencies.

Team Collaboration and Communication

Participate in daily morning huddles, collaborative treatment team meetings, and other scheduled meetings.

Relate professionally and maintain strong working relationships with clients, staff, and external stakeholders.

Serve as a liaison to community resources and establish linkages to address clients' needs effectively.

Education and Prevention

Provide prevention, consultation, and educational services to clients and community organizations as assigned.

Stay updated on current research, best practices, and advancements in substance use disorder treatment.

Participate in continuing education, training, and supervision to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Documentation and Compliance

Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely records of all client interactions, treatment plans, group notes, and progress reports.

Ensure compliance with all agency policies, client rights, safety regulations, and applicable state and local guidelines.

Assume the caseload of other counselors during emergencies, illness, or vacations as requested.

Availability

Accommodate some evening and weekend hours to meet clients needs and the program schedule.

Required Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.

Strong decision-making and crisis intervention skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.

Compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.

Deep understanding of addiction, recovery processes, and evidence-based treatment methods.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.

Valid state licensure as a Counselor or Social Worker (LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC.).

Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders is preferred.
