Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: This position is primarily remote, though local candidates may also work at our Dublin, OH campus.

About the role

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is a senior leader in the Business Intelligence department, leading and contributing to projects and deliverables to forward the department goals and initiatives. The position will utilize their well-rounded business intelligence delivery experience to provide BI solutions and will be engaging in the elicitation of requirements, design, iterative development and prototyping and implementation utilizing various visualization and database platforms.

What you’ll do

Requirements Gathering and Communication

Engage and partner with internal stakeholders and project managers to elicit and document functional and technical requirements

Provide recommendations where requirements aren’t clearly defined / known

Design & Development

Prototype and iterate with internal stakeholders to help solidify requirements / expectations

Utilize various approaches and technologies to gather and prepare data including query development (SQL Server, Snowflake) and using BI platforms like Tableau, ThoughtSpot, SSRS, etc.

Perform Data analysis and design reports, dashboards and visualizations

Testing

Perform rigorous unit testing and coordinate UAT where applicable to help ensure quality data products are delivered

Deployment and Support

Partner with development operations to deploy business intelligence solutions

Develop end user and/or technical documentation / training materials / team cross-training

All other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring

Degree or combination of education and experience required.

5+ years in employer benefits or related field focused in analytics / business intelligence delivery

Extensive experience with business intelligence exploratory or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot)

Ability to organize and lead meetings effectively

Ability and desire to work in fast-paced environment

Ability to adapt well to change and see big picture

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
