Previous experience in electronics manufacturing (preferred but not required)

!Job Summary & Essential Functions: Operate required machinery or tools in order to prep, assemble or install various electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCB’s) using hand soldering or related bonding procedures and equipment.

Specific duties and responsibilities

Perform soldering, prep and assembly work to current IPC standards

Perform in-line quality inspection of work to current IPC standards

Position, align and solder electronic components in a specific relationship to each other.

Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering or related bonding procedures and equipment.

Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management

Maintain a safe and clean work space

Follow established safety rules, departmental procedures and work instructions

Equipment used

Soldering Iron

Air powered RTV dispenser, hand RTV/ Glue gun dispenser

Microscope and/or magnifying glass

UV curing station

X-Ray

Miscellaneous Hand tools (screwdrivers, tweezers, pliers)

Aqueous wash equipment Requirements:

Required Skills & Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential requirements of this job.

Color vision

Ability to accurately read no load drawings, assembly instructions and bill of materials for specified product

IPC Certified preferred

Read, write, speak, and understand English

Team-oriented and self-directed

Ability to Solder

Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred

6 months previous experience soldering in a manufacturing field preferred

Knowledge of IPC IPC-7711 / IPC-7721 rework standards preferred

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.

This is an electronics field service and manufacturing environment that requires the use of safety devices including glasses with side shields and ESD equipment/clothing.
