Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for cultivating & supporting all sales & marketing operations for MQ FF division, namely Repositioning 3PL development. Duties include building business relationships in order to meet department sales and operation goals, drafting sales reports, meeting annual targets, understanding customer trends & support MQ FF business development team operations through maximizing & maintaining repo business opportunities.
Responsibilities
Business Development
Primary responsibility is to cultivate & develop large cargo shipper accounts for load-out/ repositioning of HT trailers
Significant industry contacts to establish relationships
Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing terms on large transactions
Understand and knowledge of logistics industry operations
Responsible for planning & supervising repositioning shipment movement
Generate & monitor KPI performance on weekly / monthly ( periodic ) basis
Analyze and identify opportunities to save freight costs in the supply chain process
Relies on extensive degree of experience and judgement to plan and accomplish departmental goals
Lead & direct work of others engaged in executing organizational functions properly
Achieve financial goals for P&L targets
Understand P&L of repositioning transactions and maximize profit opportunities
Understand and establish repositioning planning to manage efficient & effective operations
Knowledgeable in detailed costs and fees related to repositioning transactions
Know market trends & pursue alternative solutions
Knowledgeable with logistics industry / market trends and solutions for large-scale transactions
Make suggestions to upper management in order to stay competitive in the market
Should be good at market research and be able to suggest ideas for future business model Compensation

Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree Required
5 Years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, Management, and/or OEM Sales Required
8 Years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, Management, and/or OEM Sales Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills Required
Proficient PC skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, database management systems ( SAP ) Required
Experience with training and mentoring new employees Required
Excellent organizational and time-management skills Required
Sales Management work experience Required
Experience in IMC Sales & OTR Sales Required Physical Requirements
Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
