Summary
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet quality standards and comply with ISO regulations. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) and overseeing ISO certification processes.
Responsibilities
Develop Quality Control Policies: Create, implement, and monitor quality control policies and procedures to ensure products meet customer required standards
ISO Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO standards, including ISO 9001 and other relevant ISO certifications. Prepare for and lead ISO audits
Manage Quality Control Team: Supervise, train, and mentor quality control inspectors and other staff, ensuring adherence to all protocols and procedures
Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with ISO standards
Conduct Inspections and Tests: Plan and oversee inspections and testing of products to ensure they meet specifications. Utilize statistical methods and software for analysis
Analyze Quality Data: Collect and analyze data from testing and inspections to identify quality issues and root causes. Make recommendations based on findings
Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas of improvement, implementing corrective actions, and following up to ensure resolution
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all processes comply with relevant quality standards. Maintain comprehensive documentation of inspections, tests, and corrective actions
Vendor Quality Management: Assess and qualify new suppliers, and conduct regular audits to ensure supplier compliance with quality standards and ISO requirements
Customer Feedback: Address customer complaints regarding quality, investigate issues, and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken
Training and Development: Provide training on quality standards and ISO procedures to staff and management
Reporting: Prepare and present Quality and ISO compliance reports to management, highlighting areas of concern and progress made
Analyze Quality Data and report Quality Trends using internal system GPQMS/GPMS/iVeles
Conduct Vehicle Defect Audits and Capability Audits
Other duties as assigned Compensation
$101,000-$113,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
