Job Description
We are looking for a responsible Medical Documentation Specialist/Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks in our growing fast-paced medical office. Duties will include providing support to our physicians and manager, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment. Prior billing coding experience will be asset.
Responsibilities/Skills:
Must have medical office experience: Primary care
Must have prior Clinical Documentation or Medical Records experience.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Must be dependable, hardworking with great organizational skills.
Review medical records. ICD 10 & CPT Coding Knowledge is a must.
Plan meetings and manage physician calendar
Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
Medical Scribing
Assist in coordination of medical internship/training programs, including functioning as the student coordinator.
Other duties as directed
Strong EMR and computer skills are highly recommended, as our clinic is currently on the Practice Fusion electronic medical records (EMR) system. The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment is important.
