Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for developing advanced electro-mechanical systems? Our client in Geneva, Ohio is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Engineer to lead and support critical engineering projects, from concept through production. This is a dynamic role involving testing, 3D modeling, system design, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Do:
Serve as a technical subject matter expert on cutting-edge electro-mechanical systems and products
Design and develop mechanical, electrical, and electronic components
Conduct performance testing on ECUs, CBRN equipment, heaters, and more
Analyze, interpret, and report on test results to support design improvements
Ensure compliance with industry and military standards (MIL-STD-810, 461, 464)
Create and update 2D/3D models and technical drawings using CAD tools (SOLIDWORKS preferred)
Manage BOMs and documentation using ERP (SAP) and PLM/PDM systems (SOLIDWORKS EPDM)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers
Support ongoing product development, modifications, and sustainment initiatives
Apply risk mitigation, design-for-manufacture, and project management best practices
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field (Advanced degrees/certifications a plus)
5+ years of engineering experience, including 3–5 years in defense or military-related projects
Experience with 3D CAD and PDM/PLM systems (preferably SOLIDWORKS and EPDM)
Proficiency in ERP tools (SAP preferred) and BOM management
Working knowledge of MIL-STD compliance standards
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
U.S. Citizenship may be required for defense projects
Nice to Have:
Experience in PCB/electronic board design
Familiarity with high-level programming languages
Project management or design-for-manufacturing experience
