Job Description
As an Automation Controls Engineer with MartinCSI you will be part of a system integration team putting technology to work in industrial controls and automation.
MartinCSI engineers work with a variety of technologies, following well-defined standards and practices. Engineering work is performed in an office environment and on-site at client facilities. Strong logic and reasoning skills, taking initiative, being self-motivated to work on multiple projects is vital.
What you get to do:
Design and develop control system applications with limited assistance. Typically includes Electrical Design, PLC programming and HMI/SCADA development. Additional project applications may include Risk Assessments, Vision Applications, Motion Applications and Robotics
Act as Lead Engineer responsible for all technical aspects of the project and communication with client.
Develop project documentation such as functional specifications, meeting minutes, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and project closure.
Responsible for project installation, startups, and implementation of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Provide sales estimating support of labor hours and vendor equipment
Mentoring
Remote Work: Up to 40% (2 days a week) working remote an option for the right candidate
Bonus Program
Ideal candidate has:
2+ years of industry experience in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, AutoCAD electrical drawing design PLC programming preferred in Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Siemens
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline
Working knowledge of NEC Code and NFP79
Developed and implemented applications on control systems platform
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple projects
Ability to travel to and work at client locations (20% same day travel / 20% occasional overnight travel)
Lives in or around the Columbus, Ohio Metro area
US Citizenship or otherwise authorized to work in the United States without a Visa.
