Position Summary
The scope of work for the position is to direct the job tasks, supervise crews, and perform construction related functions such as, but not limited to, the essential duties listed below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Run and supervise assigned projects, crews, and company equipment
Perform Job Safety Analysis on daily basis
Fill and turn in Field/Project/Safety documents by paper or digitally
Represent ACCI and interact with clients to provide customer service
Coordinate with field sub-contractors
Project, material, equipment and crew coordination and planning with Project Manager
Report job status to Field Supervisor and/or Project Manager
Employee Performance and Disciplinary reviews
Visual inspections of company DOT vehicles and equipment
Review/approve employee purchases on company credit card expense system on time
Review/approve employee timesheets on time
Driving company DOT vehicles
Ensure accurate Timesheets and Dailies are submitted on time for all crew members
Construction duties in the following areas:
Use of hand and power tools to dig around existing utility structures to prevent damages
Engages in general basic electrical work (low voltage, wiring and testing)
Reading and following project documentation and instructions
Operation of small construction equipment
Use a variety of hand tools and electronic meters
Pipeline/Utility structure locating
Load and unload equipment and materials
Excavation and potholing
Under ground and above ground conduit work
Low voltage wiring
Installation of electrical panels
Keep worksite clean and organized free from hazards
Lifting and handling 50+ lbs. material bags
Perform Cathodic Protection/Corrosion Prevention tasks and services for gas, oil, and water pipelines and facilities, including power company facilities
Additional duties:
Maintain all industry required Operator Qualifications
Additional duties may be assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does have supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
5 years construction experience and 3 years supervisory experience required
Strong Desire to learn a new trade
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record per insurance requirements
Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screening and physical as well as being subject to random drug testing throughout employment
Must pass client required Operator’s Qualifications (“OQ”)
Knowledge/ Skills /Abilities:
Must have leadership experience and exhibited the ability to run multiple types of projects in the field and administratively
Must have ability to work and communicate with all levels of employees and Clients
Ability to perform work unsupervised
Mechanical and Electrical aptitude required
Experience using hand tools preferred
Completion of any regional Corrosion Short Courses preferred
Operating construction power tools and equipment experience preferred
Basic Operator Qualifications preferred
Obtain and pass OSHA 30 training required
Obtain and pass other safety trainings/certifications
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to ensure safe and efficient operations
Responsible and self-motivated
Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Frequent travel required (with overnight stay)
Frequent overtime required
Work outdoors in various climates including extreme weather conditions
Prolonged and repeated: lifting up to 50 lbs. or more overhead, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, feeling, crouching and crawling.
Ability to follow worksite safety instructions
Work is performed with a medium to high risk of potential industry hazards and heavy equipment
Driving a vehicle to and from work sites in all types of weather conditions and in heavy traffic and/or at night
