SCHEDULE:Up to 40 hours/week, based on contract funding

JOB SUMMARY:This position provides essential fiscal support to the CFO and plays a key role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records for the organization. The role focuses heavily on accounts receivable, inventory reporting, reconciliations, and tax reporting, including all related record-keeping and documentation. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry is crucial to success in this position.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes, but is not limited to:
Accounts Receivable and Other:
Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and collections. Prepare all HUD invoices with supporting documentation.
Track, process, and acknowledge donations, ensuring accuracy and donor confidentiality in Bloomerang and MIP.
Perform data entry for financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records. Review accounting entries for accuracy and appropriateness.
Preparation and maintenance of daily cash flow reports to monitor and manage liquidity
Process and record daily deposits, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation with accounting systems on all bank accounts monthly.
Assist in month-end and year-end financial close processes
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Understand and be able to process payroll or accounts payable.
Monthly reconcile all balance sheet accounts as assigned.
Auditing and filing Excise and quarterly payroll taxes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist Housing Services with WBARS reporting
Other Fiscal/Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate fiscal records for multiple and varied contracts.
Other fiscal/administrative/program support as requested.
Help monitor and administer the companys business accounts.
Create reports and supply information upon request to assist staff as needed.
Meetings/Training:
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as requested.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
Relevant experience and/or education may be substituted for either education or work history.
Associate degree in Accounting or Business, or related field.
Three years of accounting experience.
Experience in accounts receivable and/or payroll preparation preferred.
Recent experience and/or education with accounting software preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, managing a high call volume, with frequent interruptions and occasional crisis situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions. Involves some local and regional travel.
