Job Description
PURPOSE: Oversees and directs the day-to-day activities of Seal & Design Inc.’s IT Operations and Infrastructure teams, ensuring that systems, services, and infrastructure work reliably and securely. The Manager leads teams that develop and implement networks and servers, respond to user service desk requests, and monitor system stability and performance. This role is also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Seal & Design's corporate data and information systems.
*This is an on-site role in our Headquarters in Clarence, NY*
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
LMA - leads, manages and holds accountable all direct reports
Actively participates in the vetting, selection and onboarding process
Trains & mentors IT Operations, Infrastructure and Cybersecurity staff
Conducts regular coaching (formal and JIT)
Conducts performance reviews and facilitates disciplinary actions as necessary
Oversees the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the protection, performance, and availability of the enterprise networks, systems, and data
Prepares documentation, guidelines, and solution articles that serve to standardize processes, educate, and empower our team members to align with organizational goals
Evaluates and manages relationships with vendors and third-party service providers
Allocates and manages the budget, resources, and personnel for IT Operations.
Stays current with emerging cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices, and implements innovative solutions to enhance the organization's value
Enforces safety policies and practices to ensure culture of health and safety; identifies safety hazards and works with management team on corrective actions
Pay Range: $100-130K
Requirements
Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent degree plus at least 7 years of experience in the IT field
Previous experience working in a Service Desk or tech support environment (NOC, SOC, etc.); problem-solving skills when it comes to directly addressing issues with software, hardware, networking, virtualization and/or server infrastructure
Practical knowledge of ITIL/ITSM
Financial management and budgeting skills
Knowledge and/or certification in Cybersecurity best practices
General knowledge of database concepts, MS SQL, and/or ERP solutions
General knowledge of computer programming
Strong written and oral communication skills; attention to detail
Valid driver license; travel is required between all divisions, including ability to work in Canada
