During that time, we have specialized in hospitality, multi-unit, industrial, office, retail, healthcare, and tenant improvements. Because of this growth, were looking to add a new Project Engineer/Estimator for our Sandy office. You would support project management, bid, and prepare projects for construction. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and expand your career!
What youll do:
Maintain an up-to-date database about current project statuses
Assist Project Manager on projects from preconstruction to close-out
Confirm that project reports, submittals, schedules, and change orders are being met
Provide the required up-to-date copies of drawings and specifications to subcontractors.
Attend and participate in applicable meetings
Ensure that the project site and construction operations and procedures are documented
File hard or electronic inspections, tests, safety, and other reports
Assist with the monitoring and enforcement of the safety plan.
Submit change order requests to the architect and owner and maintain a log of PRs, CORs, and COs.
Provide quantity take-offs for self-performed work activities.
Market the company to the owner and architectural team; engage the Business Development Department in pursuing future opportunities.
Work with the project team to meet the detailed construction CPM schedule.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3 to 5 years of related commercial construction experience
General knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques.
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, plans, construction documents, contract documents, and specifications
Read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
A proactive ability to prioritize and multitask with a detail orientation
Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
General knowledge of LEED principles.
Familiarity with various equipment and tools; proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.
Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
Proficient in Microsoft suite and BlueBeam, and can navigate and/or use CAD software.
