We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lowboy Driver to join our team. As a Lowboy Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment, machinery, and oversized loads using a lowboy trailer. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and secure transportation of equipment to various job sites, construction projects, or client locations.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and oversized loads to and from job sites or client locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lowboy trailer and equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
transport equipment from various sources located in the general area to the job site, ability to operate loaders, excavator, skid steer, bulldozer, etc. Loading yourself with equipment is a big plus
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pick-ups, mileage, and fuel usage, completing required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents to appropriate personnel promptly.
Qualifications:
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A
Proven experience as a lowboy driver or similar role in the transportation or construction industry.
Clean driving record with no serious violations or accidents in the past.
Ability to safely load, unload, and secure heavy equipment using proper techniques and equipment.
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts as needed.
DOT Medical Card
experience with oversized loads and must keep vehicle operational by following operating instructions.
