Building and Grounds Maintenance

Job Description

Hiring a maintenance person to complete routine daily, weekly,monthly, annually cleaning and maintenance upkeep as well as handyman projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily, weekly, annual maintenance and sanitation rotation of company buildings and grounds. (We have a weekly cleaning service for deep cleaning).

• Properly store, inventory and maintain company tools, equipment and supplies.

• Responsibilities include maintaining the building and grounds clean,maintained and free from hazards.

• Projects: Perform handyman type projects, such as small remodels. Anything that requires professional trades will consist of coordinating and interacting with outside services, such as plumbers, electricians, contractors.

• Some flexibility on schedule when needed to keep noise and distractions to a minimum during production hours.

• You are required to observe and follow proper safety rules and regulations to reduce and prevent the risk of injury to yourself or others.

Required experience & qualifications:

• Prior experience in the areas of handyman and custodial services

• Handyman/trade type skills such as carpentry, painting, minor drywall repairs and installations.

• You are required to interact in a professional manner with others.

• Must work independently and be a self-starter.

• Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.

Drug Free Workplace:

We are a Florida Drug Free Workplace. The company requires all employees to complete a pre-employment 10 panel drug screen; employment statuswill be dependent on ability to pass this screening and partake on a quarterly random screen.

Hours, compensation and benefits:

Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00PM with two paid 15-minute breaks and a full un-paid lunch hour. Some flexibility on schedule depending on projects needed by the company.

Compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour, negotiable depending on skills and experience.

After 30-day waiting period employees become eligible for Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, paid holidays and paid time off that increase with longevity.
