Project Manager - Software

Job Description

Project Manager for software systems - insurance industry experience needed. Greenwich, CT location – hybrid. Pay range $70 - $90hr.

Job Summary

Candidate will work as a Project Manager responsible for Epic system software implementation, configuring and setting up integrations for systems like IDDS (Warehouse solution) within a specialty insurer's change function (Casualty). Manage various projects including system updates, collaborate with developers and third-party software vendors, conduct financial analysis, and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.

Responsibilities for assigned projects:

Manage scope and ensure quality of deliverables while developing and maintaining project budgets and plans.

· Oversee product backlog, progress reporting and follow governance and reporting regimes in line with agreed framework.

· Communicate with all areas of the business, and manage stakeholders effectively, at all levels.

· Maintain, test and improve business and systems operations.

· Collaborate closely with developers and third parties to implement requirements.

· Conduct financial due diligence, gather and analyze data from multiple sources.

· Facilitate scrum and other team meetings as required.

· Enable teams to deliver on committed work by identifying, and mentoring through, root causes of rollover, missed commitments, excessive unplanned work.

· Vendor management responsibilities for technical / consulting services.

· High level stakeholder management communications and project updates.

Skill Requirements

· 5+ years in Insurance / Financial Services.

· Experience with setting up integrations for systems like Epic, IDDS, or similar.

· Strong knowledge of both traditional Waterfall and Agile/Lean methodologies.

· Proficiency in using tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an insurance environment.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Location – Greenwich, CT

Hybrid – in-office 1 day per week

Pay rate $ 70 - $90 hr – depending on exp
