Job Description
We are in the search for a Sr. Procurement Manager to join our team located in East, Texas. As a Sr. Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in the food industry, driving strategic procurement initiatives, managing supplier relationships, leading a team of inventory and materials management professionals, and ensuring operational performance aligns with company policies and food safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Execute procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives and operational needs, focusing on cost savings and supplier performance.
• Manage sourcing strategies to ensure continuity of supply and adherence to quality standards.
• Establish strong relationships with key suppliers in the food industry/CPG space.
• Oversee supplier contracts, negotiations, and agreements to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality deliverables.
• Lead and develop a team of inventory professionals, enhancing their skills to meet organizational objectives.
• Create a team environment focused on continuous improvement within the procurement function.
• Ensure procurement operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and food safety requirements.
• Analyze procurement-related data and trends to identify opportunities for savings, efficiency, and better resource allocation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including R& D, supply chain, and finance teams, to support product development, forecasting, and budget goals.
• Provide sourcing strategies and procurement practice recommendations to executive leadership to drive profitability.
• Applicant should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field
• Familiarity with CRM software is required
• Experience with ERP - Sage is highly preferred but not required
• Knowledge of ERP Solutions is a must
• Understanding of Negotiations, Budget Processes and Buying Processes is essential
• Excellent Customer Service skills are required
• Should be capable of handling Invoice related tasks
• Experience as a Buyer is necessary
• Strong Leadership Skills are a must
• Proficiency in Contract Negotiation is required.
