The Wireless RAN team is a small group of technical team players within the GTA Operations department working together to provide the very best service and support to our wireless customers.

We’re seeking an experienced Wireless RAN Engineer who’s passionate about technology and eager to help us grow and evolve our wireless network. The Wireless RAN Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of wireless RAN systems across technologies including LTE, UMTS, and 5G. From leading cell site integrations to resolving network performance issues, the engineer brings deep expertise in RF design, 3GPP standards, and hands-on troubleshooting. This position reports directly to the Wireless RAN Manager and works closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure the seamless delivery of wireless services.

Manage the installation, testing, and integration of new or relocated cell site equipment, including but not limited to power systems, remote radio heads (RRH), microwave systems, coaxial cable, and antenna systems for rooftop, mobile cellular, and Wi-Fi solutions

Assist with the deployment and testing of cell site infrastructure and associated test equipment

Monitor cell site statistics and overall system performance on a daily basis to ensure network reliability and quality

Apply knowledge of 3GPP RAN architecture, RF design principles, scripting languages, and databases in support of network design and optimization

Provide expertise in RF network design, capacity planning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting

Utilize experience with various wireless technologies including UMTS, CDMA, WCDMA, LTE, and 5G, along with RF data collection and post-processing tools

Demonstrate strong project management and technical report writing skills

Possess hands-on knowledge and experience with 3G, LTE, and 5G radio technologies

Understand and troubleshoot radio signaling and radio network equipment issues

Leverage experience with OSS tools and LTE/5G performance troubleshooting

Monitor and analyze LTE and WCDMA KPIs for network optimization and issue resolution

Familiarity with Nokia and Ericsson RBS and RNC equipment for configuration and maintenance

Maintain flexibility to work variable schedules, including early morning or late evening shifts as needed

Interface and coordinate effectively with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Has the ability to assess an issue, provide creative solutions, and analyze if the solution was viable.

Organizational support: Ability to follow company policies and procedures in accordance with contract/agreement(s) and Company Goals, completes administrative tasks thoroughly, accurately, promptly, and efficiently as possible with respect to human resources, financial management and profitability.

Technical skills: Constantly strives to increase technical knowledge to improve training tools through latest product knowledge, industry knowledge, and research.

Growth and Learning: Is curious and understands that learning is a lifelong endeavor. You own your learning and development, and you are committed to evolving.

This is what you need to have:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Engineering or a related field is preferred

Minimum of 5 years of experience in wireless RAN deployment, including concept development and implementation

Commitment to regular, punctual, and consistent attendance

Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support business operations and project timelines
