What you'll get to do:
Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and designers.
Ensure project integrity, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
Drive business and client development activities to identify new opportunities.
Oversee design calculations, specifications, and CAD drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Provide technical oversight on energy-related mechanical systems, including piping, thermodynamics, and material specifications.
Prepare project proposals, schedules, and cost estimates.
Conduct compliance reviews, develop processes, and optimize energy station designs.
Handle project administration tasks, including billing and invoicing (experience with Deltek VantagePoint is a plus).
Represent the firm in project meetings, pre-construction visits, and client site reviews.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Travel domestically up to 10% annually. What will make you successful:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
8-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering; prior group management experience preferred but not required.
PE license preferred. PMP certification and NCEES record are a plus.
Proficiency in design, construction, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems, with expertise in energy projects.
Knowledge of codes such as CFR 49 Parts 192/195 and ASME/ANSI B31.4/B31.8 is preferred.
Experience in process-related design, pipe stress analysis, thermodynamics, and facility piping.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation; HDD experience is a bonus.
Strong communication, leadership, time management, and organizational abilities.
High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality results.
