Salary Range From $47,393 to $91,468*

Position Purpose: To help students learn in the four modalities of English, content, and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible men and women. To help ELLs through their acculturation process.
Responsibilities:
Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, students and families.
Teaches District approved curriculum.
Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
Establishes and maintains standards of classroom behavior.
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects to communicate these objectives to students.
Diagnoses the learning styles, cultural preferences, and strengths and challenges of all students.
Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports.
Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.
Serves as case manager, including writing ILPs, facilitating ACCESS testing, and advising regular ed staff.
Participate in all mandatory training or training appropriate to the position as required by the district. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education and/or English Language Learner Education
ND Teaching License
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference for EL ELA credential
Two to three years teaching experience
Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations
