Sr. Accountant

Job Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in Ladera Ranch, California, for a Sr. Accountant to join our team. As a Sr. Accountant, you will assist with the monthly close process, maintain internal controls, and prepare financial statements. This role is also responsible for the consolidation of financial statements and support during the annual audit.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly financial statement consolidation and preparation of quarterly financial statement packages for senior management.

• Coordinate and review monthly reports from property accountants.

• Assist with SEC filings and maintain the general ledger.

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and perform other general accounting duties.

• Support the integration of new acquisitions and prepare supplemental financial schedules.

• Assist in the preparation of internal reports for variance analysis.

• Assist with external financial statement audits.

• Utilize skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, general ledger, journal entries, Microsoft Excel, month-end close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Great Plains (GPAC).• Candidate must possess expertise in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Capability to handle Bank Reconciliations effectively

• Deep knowledge of General Ledger management

• Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Must be well-versed with Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close operations is required

• Proficiency in using NetSuite software

• Familiarity with Oracle software is a must

• Knowledge of SAP system is required

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) software is desirable
