A well-established HVAC distributor, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Managerto drive business growth across Wisconsin and Iowa. This role is ideal for a hunter-someone eager to build new client relationships, expand market presence, and manage accounts they bring in. While this is a new territory, the opportunity to grow a strong book of business and transition into a farmer role exists. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, proactive, and thrives in face-to-face sales environments.
Territory Manager Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the company's presence in the territory
Identify and engage prospective HVAC contractors through cold calling, in-person visits, and networking
Manage and maintain relationships with the clients brought in, ensuring long-term partnerships
Serve as a business consultant to clients, helping them grow and optimize their operations
Work closely with manufacturers and vendors to identify high-potential leads
Provide product knowledge and training to customers, ensuring they understand the company's offerings.
Spend approximately 4 days per week on the road visiting clients, with 1 day for administrative work
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
Track and report sales progress using Excel Territory Manager Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in HVAC distribution sales or relevant electrical industry experience
Proven track record of success in an outside sales
Strong ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
Highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset
Comfortable with face-to-face interactions and cold calling
Ability to work independently while being a team player
Proficiency in Excel; CRM experience is a plus
No degree required-relevant experience is key
