Description:

UX/UI Designer (Wisconsin Residency Required)

Consulting project 12+ months

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced UX/UI Designer to play a pivotal role in their significant multi-year modernization initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design efforts for the complete overhaul of four critical applications, transitioning them from on-premises to a modern cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about user-centered design and possess a strong ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive and engaging user experiences.

Responsibilities:

Lead the user experience and user interface design for multiple applications within the DWD modernization project.

Develop comprehensive design deliverables, including detailed page designs, user journey maps, and process flows.

Create wireframes and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and facilitate stakeholder feedback.

Leverage familiarity with component libraries such as Blazer and MudBlazor to inform design decisions (experience with these specific controls is highly desirable).

Collaborate closely with business analysts, subject matter experts, and development teams throughout the design process.

Contribute to user research activities and incorporate user feedback into design iterations.

Utilize tools such as Axure (prior experience preferred) to create interactive prototypes and documentation.

Champion a user-centric approach to design, ensuring solutions are intuitive, accessible, and efficient.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.

Solid understanding of user experience principles, interaction design best practices, and visual design fundamentals.

Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and other design documentation.

Familiarity with component-based design systems and UI libraries (experience with Blazer or MudBlazor is a significant advantage).

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience working directly with users and subject matter experts to gather requirements and feedback.

Familiarity with Axure or similar prototyping tools is a plus.

While Wisconsin residency is initially preferred, this role has the potential to be fully remote for the right candidate.
