Wireless Microwave/Infrastructure Technician

Location: Southwest LAN Connections, LLC – Tempe, Arizona

Pay: $22.00 – $35.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: Minimum 3 years in wireless and structured cabling

We're looking for a motivated and experienced Wireless Microwave/Infrastructure Technician to join our team. Key Responsibilities

Structured Cabling & Network Installation

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic cabling systems

Perform compliance testing (Cat 5e/6/6A and fiber networks)

Install networking equipment (racks, patch panels, Ethernet switches, access points)

Build out infrastructure: conduits, cable trays, ladder racks, j-hooks

Wireless Systems & Microwave Installation

Work with point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and mesh wireless systems

Install and maintain equipment from Cambium, Ceragon, SIAE, Aviat, Siklu, Radwin, Tarana, etc.

Assist in design and deployment of wireless microwave and mmWave networks

Mount and align antennas, install transmission lines and antenna hardware

Safety & Communication

Maintain OSHA/MSHA compliance on all job sites

Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and project managers

Uphold quality standards and detailed documentation practices

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in wireless and structured cabling

Knowledge of CAT5/6/6A cabling, fiber optics, and related testing procedures

Familiarity with wireless systems (Cambium, Ceragon, SIAE, Aviat, Siklu, Radwin, Tarana, etc.)

Strong understanding of network installation and infrastructure

Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and use aerial lifts or tower climbing equipment

Excellent problem-solving, time management, and teamwork skills

Clean driving record and valid driver's license

Must pass background check and drug screening

Applicants must be located in the greater Phoenix area

Preferred (Not Required):

Experience with 900 MHz SCADA systems

Familiarity with RF cable sweeping and antenna system testing
