MAIN FUNCTION:
Responsible for improving process controls reliability,
Responsible for continuous improvement of instrumentation and controls.
Responsible for ensuring consistency between locations.
Responding to and resolving instrumentation and control issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the development and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.
Responsible for ensuring consistency between locations and meeting corporate expectations and standards.
Development of instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets, and specifications, to be in full compliance with recognized industry standards, and safety standards.
Develop technical tabulation to support the selection of instrumentation and control systems.
Assist in the technical development of assigned plant project P&IDs.
Assist in the development of I &E project schedules and manpower requirements.
Provide support for procurement of instrument items.
Manage to convert DCS from PROVOX to Delta V and other software upgrades.
Ensure the plants have the right people and training to operate and maintain the company’s instrumentation and control systems.
Responsible for maintaining a high degree of reliability in all controls, instrumentation, and emission monitoring systems.
Develop programs to prevent accidents and maintain safe working conditions.
Respond when and where needed during emergency downtime situations or when problems occur.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Two-year technical degree (Electrical Engineering or Technology)
Minimum of five years previous experience working as an instrument and electrical technician or equivalent job function in an industrial manufacturing environment. Supervisory experience is a plus.
Proficient with Fisher- Rosemont’s DeltaV, digital control systems.
