Position Overview:
Veracity Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Tech Support Analyst at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ. The successful candidate will research, implement and/or maintain security solutions. The schedule for the position is 4-days onsite and 3 days off from 7:00pm - 7:00am.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical support varies widely. In ATS, technical support includes everything from modification of facilities, to testing sites, remediation of sites, and similar technician activity. In BAM, technical support includes graphical artist specialists. In CSD, technical support includes graphical design. For ES, technical support means technicians to support the engineering efforts. These may be testing technicians, installation technicians, support technicians, etc. In CSD, technical support is help desk, computer installation, copier support, telephone support, etc. In equipment maintenance, the technical support is an equipment repair technician and includes depot through field repairs.
(PRIMARY DUTY) Day-to-day operational system administration supports administer, monitor, and maintains a large-scale computer network and related software, hardware, and configurations
Providing technical and system administration support through troubleshooting, identifying and isolating issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing appropriate solutions to software and system issues as they occur
Responding to program-related issues, resolving problems, and stakeholder
Prepare technical documentation that accurately depicts the problem and/or solution and provides it to the system owner
Identifying and analyzing issues that affect the performance of the system, and working in close coordination with the development team and recommending solutions for the issues
Recommending and implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
Analyzing and identifying discrepancies in the system, assessing the risks, and suggesting solutions while adhering to security standards
Resolving Linux system errors, crashes, and disk space problems
Communicating effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and oral format
Interacting with stakeholders, including providing advice and troubleshooting of issues
Available for on-call support
Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups
Serve as first level support for customers seeking technical assistance; respond to incoming calls and emails regarding service-related inquiries for TFMS & DSP issues
Experience with C## and c++
Resolving Linux system errors and crashes, disk space problems, huge file system and full
disk errors; available for on-call support.

Education:
Must have high school diploma.
Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience.
Must have experience with Linux.
